I have faced issue with Lenovo W520 keyboard, when I type any letter it's showing different characters.
It looks silly but following steps helped me
Press CTRL+Alt+Del
Windows screen display lot of options like lock, switchover, signout,etc
Just Press Cancel
Keyboard started working fine
Pls note, I have tried all other steps mentioned in several website like change in language and keyboard layout, etc. Nothing worked.
But I have disabled the Fn and Ctrl Key lock in the boot menu.
